Melkor can, at the very least, ruin Illuvatar's divine plan without Illuvatar taking direct action. To me this makes me think that in order for Surtur to be on Melkor's level, it would have to be the case that Odin and the rest of the pantheon cannot be able to finally and ultimately defeat Surtur without calling in heavier hitters.Surtur is probably immune to stabbing. Odin and Thor aren't as they are mammalian like living beings (with blood and organs and stuff). Stabbing will probably do squat to to both Surtur and Ymir. Now blunt force and energy projection always seem to work though. So Gorr is probably worthless here for offensive purposes. facepalm
