The rubi is a pretty good pistol, it‘s a moxxi weapon, so it heals you when you shoot enemies. Idk what the other reward is. Rubi heals you for 12% of any damage done as long as it is equipped (including offhand gunzerking) which can be amazing. Since you are low level I'd say it doesn't really matter yet.
