Well it will always be "unlikely" to get into MIT, but just because you got deferred doesnt mean youre unlikely to get in compared to RD. In EA, MIT is really just accepting the students who are absolutely insane, with crazy awards, charity organizations, etc. Plenty of "typical" high achieving kids with a passion get into MIT every year, but typically during RD.
